Yes, you can have a bounce house at a West Palm Beach city park. Seven city parks rent picnic pavilions for as little as $35 a day, and the City allows a bounce house when it is approved in advance, the rental company sends proof of insurance, and the bounce house runs on a generator. Below you'll find the pavilion prices, the bounce house rules, the 2026 dates to plan around (the SANDI tree lighting is Thursday, December 3), and the Crazy Games FL rentals that work in a park or a backyard.
Which West Palm Beach parks rent pavilions?
The City of West Palm Beach facility and pavilion rentals page lists seven parks with pavilions you can reserve:
- Coleman Park
- Dreher Park
- Gaines Park
- Howard Park
- Lincoln Park
- Phipps Park
- South Olive Park
Prices depend on the size of the pavilion (plus tax):
- Small (about 20 people): $35 for residents, $55 for non-residents
- Medium (about 35–40 people): $50 / $75
- Large (about 75–80 people): $75 / $95
The City also takes a $100 refundable deposit. Parks are open sunrise to sunset. To book, call West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation at (561) 804-4900, visit any city community center with your ID, or stop by City Hall at 401 Clematis Street.
What are the bounce house rules at West Palm Beach parks?
The City's pavilion rules ban amusement rides and water activities, with one exception: bounce houses approved in advance. Here's what that means for your party:
- Get approval first. Call Parks and Recreation at (561) 804-4900 before you book the bounce house.
- Insurance from the rental company. The City needs a certificate of liability insurance (at least $1 million general liability) that names the City of West Palm Beach as additional insured. It goes to parks@wpb.org. We send ours for you when you tell us your park.
- Bring a generator. The City says the bounce house must run on a generator from the rental company. Our generator rental starts at $175.
- No DJs or speakers. Amplified music, DJs and live bands are not allowed at pavilions without a special event application, which needs 8 weeks' notice.
- Leave it clean. No grills in the park area, trash goes in the bins, and kids need adult supervision.

West Palm Beach dates to plan around this fall and winter
- No school days: Palm Beach County schools are closed Wednesday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day). Thanksgiving break runs Nov. 23–27, and winter break runs Dec. 21 to Jan. 1 (school district calendar). These are great days for a kids' party at the park or at home.
- Holiday in Paradise Tree Lighting: Thursday, Dec. 3, 2026, 6–10 PM at the Waterfront Commons and Meyer Amphitheatre, 100 N. Clematis Street. It's free, with live entertainment and the lighting of SANDI, the city's famous sand tree (wpb.org). Downtown will be busy, so plan a private party for another evening.
- December weekends fill fast for school, church, office and HOA holiday parties. If you want a Saturday, reserve the pavilion and your rentals the same week.
More ideas for the season are in our Palm Beach County holiday events guide.
Fall party ideas: games that keep a big group busy
For a fall birthday, a class party or a Veterans Day get-together at the park, mix one big draw with a few games that move kids through fast:
Add a treat. Our popcorn machine and cotton candy machine start at $199 each, with supplies for 60 servings. They need a power outlet or a generator and must stay dry. Planning a party for Nov. 11–30? Our Break-Day Snack Bonus adds one free popcorn or cotton candy machine with 50 servings when you book a party package or our own games by Nov. 8, 2026 ($350 minimum, one per booking, our own machines only, subject to availability; mention the offer when you book).
Holiday party ideas for December
All of our holiday games belong to Crazy Games FL, and they work on a pavilion lawn, a school field or a church yard:

Partying at home instead?
A backyard in Northwood, Flamingo Park, El Cid or the Palm Beach Lakes area skips the park permit. The Player One bounce house (from $449) is 14 x 22 x 16 ft and needs about 19 x 26 ft of flat space. Not sure your yard is big enough? Our yard-size guide shows how to measure. If your HOA or condo has its own rules, check them before party day.
Plan a West Palm Beach park party in 5 steps
- Pick your date and skip Dec. 3 if your park is near downtown.
- Reserve a pavilion by calling (561) 804-4900 or visiting a community center.
- Ask for bounce house approval when you book the pavilion.
- Book your games with us and tell us the park, so we send our insurance certificate to the City.
- Add a generator, because the City requires one for bounce houses.
