Yes, you can have a bounce house at most Delray Beach park pavilions, but not at Veterans Park or Atlantic Dunes Park. The inflatable company must be on the City's approved vendor list, carry $1 million in insurance that names the City, and bring its own generator. Below: the parks, the rules that cost people their deposit, the City's 2026 holiday dates (the 100-foot tree lights up Tuesday, Dec. 1), and Crazy Games FL games that fit.
Which Delray Beach parks allow bounce houses?
The City's Parks and Recreation rentals page and its pavilion brochure say inflatables are allowed during a pavilion rental at every park except Veterans Park and Atlantic Dunes Park. Parks with pavilions you can reserve include:
- Orchard View Park (4060 Old Germantown Road): six pavilions, a playground, restrooms and parking.
- Bexley Trail Community Park (1400 W. Bexley Park Drive): four pavilions and open field, but no restrooms.
- Lakeview Park (1100 Lake Drive): three pavilions, a playground and restrooms.
- Catherine Strong Splash Park (1500 SW 6th Street): two large pavilions and restrooms.
- Smaller pavilions: Barwick Park, Eagle Park, Mike Machek Boy Scout Park, Pine Grove Park and Pompey Park.
Only the pavilion is reserved; the rest of the park stays open to the public. Pompey Park pavilions can't be reserved Monday to Friday from 2 to 6 PM.
How to reserve a Delray Beach pavilion
Fill out the City's Pavilion/Gazebo Permit Application and mail it, email it or drop it off at Parks and Recreation, 50 NW 1st Avenue (561-243-7441 for most park pavilions). The form lists your rental fee plus 7% sales tax and a $100 deposit. Non-profits with proof of status get special prices. Date changes are accepted up to 48 hours before the rental, and there are no refunds, so have a rain plan.
The bounce house rules, in plain words
- Approved vendors only. The City keeps a list of inflatable companies that have filed a $1 million insurance policy naming the City as additionally insured, plus vehicle registration. You name your vendor when you book the pavilion, and park staff check it. Call Parks and Recreation for the current list, and tell us your park and pavilion number when you book with us.
- Bring a generator. City electricity can't be used for inflatables. Our generator rental starts at $175.
- No water, no trains. Water slides, slip and slides, foam and trackless trains are not allowed in City parks. Save the water slide for a backyard party.
- Keep your deposit. No tents bigger than 10 x 10 ft, no latex balloons or confetti, no DJs, no alcohol and no pets. Clean up before you leave.
- Watch the clock and the head count. Parks open at 8 AM and close at dusk. Events past 6 PM may need off-duty officers, and groups over 100 may need a Special Event Permit, both at your cost.

Delray Beach holiday dates for 2026
The City has posted its 2026 holiday schedule (delraybeachfl.gov):
- Tuesday, Dec. 1, 6–9 PM: 100-foot Christmas Tree Lighting and Yuletide Street Fair, with more than 60 vendors on Atlantic Avenue, Old School Square and Pineapple Grove. It's the tree's 33rd year.
- Saturday, Dec. 5, 6 PM: Holiday School Spectacular.
- Sunday, Dec. 6, 5 PM: Grand Chanukah and Menorah Lighting.
- Thursday, Dec. 10, 6–8 PM: Cocoa, Cookies and Crafts.
- Friday, Dec. 11, 6 PM: Holiday Boat Parade.
- Saturday, Dec. 12, 6 PM: Holiday Parade.
- Thursday, Dec. 17, 5–9 PM: Twilight Tree Market.
The Holiday Village by the tree has a free walk-through, plus carousel, ice skating and mini golf at $6 each or a $20 ride-all-day wristband. Palm Beach County schools are closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, for Thanksgiving week (Nov. 23–27) and for winter break (Dec. 21 to Jan. 1), so those days are good for a daytime park party. More dates are in our Palm Beach County holiday events guide.
Holiday games that fit a Delray park
All of our holiday games belong to Crazy Games FL. They don't use water, and none of them need power:
Want something bigger? Our 4 in 1 Carnival and 4 in 1 Sports Challenge (from $349 each) give four games in one inflatable, and the Player One bounce house (from $449) needs about 19 x 26 ft of flat space. These inflatables run on the generator. Add a popcorn machine or cotton candy machine (from $199 each) for the snack table.
Our Holiday Party Pack
For 25–50 guests, the Holiday Party Pack is $1,300: Player One bounce house, Reindeer Hop Race, Giant Ornament & Spoon Race, plus popcorn and cotton candy (50 servings each) for 3 hours. For 50–100 guests, the Crazy Holiday Fest is $1,500: Snowball Fight, Candy Cane Run, Milk & Cookie Toss, popcorn and cotton candy (50 each), a Game Master to run it, and a 1-hour visit from our Christmas Elf. Terms: events Nov. 1–Dec. 31, 2026, book by Dec. 23; one holiday pack per day (we own one of each game), first come, first served; $350 minimum; generator $175 if there's no outlet (Delray park pavilions can't use City power); not combined with other offers. Say "Holiday Pack" when you call. Not sure which fits? Read Holiday Party Pack or build your own.
Partying at home in Delray Beach?
A backyard party skips the pavilion paperwork and the park rules on water, so it's the place for a water slide on a warm day. Measure first with our yard-size guide, and check your HOA's rules on inflatables, setup times and noise before party day.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have a bounce house at a Delray Beach park?
Yes, during a pavilion rental at most City parks, as long as the company is on the City's approved vendor list and brings its own generator. Inflatables are not allowed at Veterans Park or Atlantic Dunes Park.
Are water slides allowed in Delray Beach parks?
No. The City doesn't allow items that use water, slip and slides or foam in its parks. Dry inflatables and games are fine, and a water slide works at home.
When is the Delray Beach tree lighting in 2026?
Tuesday, December 1, 2026, from 6 to 9 PM at Old School Square, with the Yuletide Street Fair. The Holiday Boat Parade is Friday, Dec. 11, and the Holiday Parade is Saturday, Dec. 12, both at 6 PM.
Do you deliver to Delray Beach?
Yes. We're based in West Palm Beach and serve Palm Beach, Martin, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Delivery, setup and pickup are free within 15 miles of West Palm Beach; most of Delray Beach is farther, so a delivery fee usually applies, and it shows before you pay. See all areas we serve.
